August's Toys

So the other day, before leaving the house, I told August to pick a toy to bring with him. He brought a can of tomato paste. He actually played with this tomato paste all day. The next day it was a sponge. Here he is with his paste and sponge.

We've begun potty training and the best way for him to learn seems to be as a nudist. So all week he's been a free bird.

Ride the choo choo train

This was shot a little while back too. He gets so excited when we go to Zilker and ride the choo choo train. After we got our tickets, he sat on the train for about 45 minutes (waiting for it to go), instead of playing on the playground that's RIGHT NEXT to the train.

Chinese New Year

We went to a Chinese New Year celebration by the "chinatown" shopping center. They set off fireworks outside of each shop to protect it from evil spirits. They also had dancers and music.

August decided that when he does something wrong, he will give a BIG HUG and that makes it all better. For some reason he put his stuffed bear, Corduroy, in time out. Afterward they do a "big hug."

August and Bergen had a party with the stuffed animals. They got a bunch of bowls filled with cupcake toppings and went to town on the zucchini "cupcakes" with cream cheese frosting. :-)
